Product Swap: Sarah McNamara Miracle Skin Transformer

Today, it's the battle of the primers! Dun dun dun! (That was supposed to be intense sounding music...fail.) The face off is between Revlon's Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer and Sarah McNamara's Miracle Skin Transformer!

My Routine:
Moisturizer- Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
Primer- Sarah McNamara Miracle Skin Transformer
Foundation- Revlon ColorStay for Normal/Dry skin in 110 Ivory
Concealer- Benefit Boi-ing in shade 01
Blush- Love & Beauty Cream Cheek Blush in Pink
Setting Powder- Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil

I know this seems a little bit weird because one is a drugstore product and the other is high end... why Sarah, why?! Well, as you can see on the Revlon primer I paid $12.99 for it. Guess how much I paid for the Miracle Skin Transformer! $9.00! Say what?! Yup! That's right! And they are exactly the same size! Crazy, huh? Now if you want the full size bottle of the Miracle Skin Transformer, that will set you back $48.00 for 1.7 fl oz! The benefit of getting the larger bottle is if you have tried this product out and you know you really love it, you can get it in different shades. The full size comes in translucent and 6 other shades!
I have to say that I really enjoyed using this product! It applies so smoothly! The texture is similar to that of Smashbox Photo Finish primer. Which, by the way, I love. So it definitely has a silicone type feel. If you don't like that, well... I'm not sure that this is the product for you!
The benefits of this product?

  • SPF 20 (Awesome!)
  • Hydrating
  • Enhancing (Seriously, it evens out your skin tone before you put on foundation!)
Its formulated without

  • Parabens
  • Sulfates
  • Synthetic Fragrances
  • Synthetic Dyes
  • Petrochemicals
  • Phthalates
  • Triclosan
I know what your thinking... SPF 20? That's going to make my face a greasy mess! Fear not my friends! This product is not greasy at all! It actually makes my face look matte! Oh, and I know, wearing SPF can make your face appear white and washed out in pictures. Nope. Not at all! So protect your face, and have no fear!
Technically this product is not listed as a primer on Sephora, but I have used it for the past 3 days in place of my primer and my makeup has not moved at all! In my book, this is a primer!
I will definitely continue to use this product because it is amazing! I think it will be totally perfect for the spring/summer because even if I forget to put on SPF, this has 20!
If you are interested in purchasing this product you can buy it here. I hope you enjoyed this review!
Have a great day! :)
