Music Monday - Adam Levine

Two words...
Adam Levine. Honestly, what's not to love? Everything about him is perfection... and his voice... <3 If I had to make a list of all of my favorite Maroon 5/ Adam Levine songs, the list would literally never end...  This is (I think) his most recent song. And it's already very very popular! You've probably already heard it, and if you haven't yet I suggest that you click the little play button on that Youtube video up there and indulge your ears!

I hope your Monday was... manageable ;)

Have a beautiful day! <3

How To-
  1. Apply your favorite eyeshadow base.
  2. Take a light pink eyeshadow and apply it all over your lid.
  3. Take a shimmery beige shade and apply that on your lid, and your inner corner.
  4. Apply the light brown and pink shade in the Almay Trio along your lash line.
  5. Then take the dark brown and apply it in your crease and blend it out.
  6. Use a matte black shade and apply that to the outer 'v' of your eye, and your crease if you want a smokier look.
  7. Place the shimmery champagne color from Love Connection all over your lid to add some extra shine.
  8. Take that same color and place it along the inner third of your lower lash line.
  9. Line your eyes with your favorite liquid liner and then apply some mascara!
Yeah, I know that was kind of a lot of steps, and quite a few different shades, but I really like the way that it turned out! :) It's definitely versatile because you can smoke it out for a night time look, or keep it shimmery and natural(ish) for day time!

What are your thoughts on this look?

Prom Preparations - 1 Week

Hi guys! :)
So, if you read my blog post on prom hairstyles you may remember that my prom is next Friday! So today's post is going to be my sort of check list, type thing. Basically everything I'm doing to make sure that I'm ready for prom next week.

  1. Try on your outfit! Ok, story time- I bought these flats that I thought would go with my dress, then two days later I tried the whole ensemble on... Yeah I'm glad I did because those flats did not go at all. So now I have nice sandals that go! Also, you may not really know if you have proper... ahem... undergarments until you try everything on.
  2. If your getting your hair done professionally, go for a test run! By doing this you will prevent any major hair disappointments on the day of prom. No extra stress is needed! :) If your doing your hair yourself, definitely start practicing. For homecoming I always do my own hair, so this past fall what I would do was, when I came home from school everyday (if I knew I wasn't going anywhere) I'd try out a new hairstyle or try to perfect one that I really liked. Honestly, Youtube is a great place to look for the tutorials. That's where I found my hairstyle for homecoming and I loved it!
  3. DO NOT try out new products! NO! NO! NO! I will admit that I always used to try out new products before a big event because I thought that they would make my skin better and more beautiful. NO. If you do not know how your skin is going to react to a certain product, don't use it! Stick to what you know works for you! If you do want to try out new products, do that 2-3 weeks before prom.
  4. Get ready to glue that smile onto your face! :) Yeah, you know your going to be posing for a  lot of pictures, and you want those pearly whites to look gorgeous, right? Right! If you have the resources, I recommend trying to whiten your teeth. Obviously not everyone can afford to go get it done professionally. I actually love using the white strips from the drug store. They honestly work just as well as a professional treatment. Want me to do a post on my favorite teeth whitening products? Let me know!
  5. Now your teeth, and hair are going to look great! But what about makeup? Same goes for the hair, try it out! Google search some of your favorite celebrities to get some inspiration. Tomorrow I'm planning on testing out a look of Dianna Agron's that I'm obsessed with!
  6. Have you made all of your appointments? I haven't... I still need to pick a nail salon and make an appointment for next week! I do not recommend being a slacker like me. Seriously!
  7. Do you have the right nail polish color? If you're going to paint your own nails to match your dress, you might want to make sure that you have the perfect color! Paint your nails the weekend before and check them with the dress.  If you're getting acrylics (like me) take some time to think about whether or not you want classic french, or tips painted to match your dress, or a design! Again, I don't know what I'm doing... ;p
  8. Are you sure you really want to eat Oreos for dinner... again? :) Hey, I'm not judging, I do the same thing! But in all seriousness, you probably are going to want to watch what you eat the week of prom, we don't need to look bloated in pictures! If your not loving the way your arms look in your dress do some intensive arm exercises to get ready! Basically, your just putting the finishing touches on your body. Obviously there's no way your going to be able to drop 15 pounds the week before prom. Don't even think about it! Be realistic, and love what you've got to work with. :)
Ok, I think that's all for tonight! Sorry that this was a super long post! :) Let me know if you guys want to read more prom related posts. Trust me, I don't mind writing them. It's probably going to be the only thing that I can think about this week anyways!
Have a beautiful day! :)

Crossed

Hey guys! So as you may know, I was reading Crossed as of like... last week? I think... But anyways, I finished it!
I really really really like this series! It sort of reminds me of the Hunger Games, just with out all the arena fighting and Peeta. Just like with the first one, it took me a little while to get hooked on it. I think it was around the part when Cassia ran away from the work camp. I really hope that Eli makes an appearance in the third book because I really liked him! I liked Indie at first as well, but I don't know anymore. I just feel like she's way too sneaky and she's going to end up stabbing Cassia in the back. Also, it kind of seems like Indie is trying to take Cassia's man! Am I the only one that thinks that? She wants literally everything that Cassia has... relax Indie.
This is a little bit off topic, but not really. What do you guys think of the covers? Click here to read my theory about the covers.
Needless to say, I'm kind of excited for the third book! A little birdie told me that they are making Matched into a movie? Have you guys heard this rumor? Do you know if it's true? I feel like this is one of those books that I'd love to see come to life. Let me know your thoughts! :)
Have a beautiful day!<3
P.S. Should I do a post on my favorite quotes from Crossed?

Bath & Body Works - Wild Apple Daffodil

Hi guys! :)
Sorry that it's been a few days since I've posted! I'm currently on spring break right now, and last week was a little bit crazy.
Story time!
So yesterday I went shopping with my mom, we were searching for the 2005 DVD of Pride & Prejudice (Mr. Darcy<3) and I needed to return a few things at PacSun. So after we did both those things we had some time to kill before our sushi order would be ready so we went into Bath &Body Works. I was in desperate need of a small bottle of lotion, literally all of mine are really big bottles and I'm definitely not going to be carrying that around in my purse all day! No thank you! So we were walking around sniffing, and we noticed that they had a preview of a new collection. They had the mini bottles of the lotion in each scent for $1 each. Yeah! $1! Crazy! So obviously I bought one. And I cannot get over how good this smells!
Bath & Body Works says- " Wild Apple Daffodil is a playful blend of juicy red apple, flirty daffodils and fresh pomegranate."

YUM!
To me it smells like a combination of DKNY Be Delicious and Marc Jacobs Daisy! I have and love both of those scents. Not gonna lie, I have this on my hands right now, and I can't stop smelling them! This is becoming a bit of a problem.... :)
I have to say, the rest of the Wild Garden collection smells delicious as well, but this one (to me) is the best.

Ok, your done reading now. Go to your nearest Bath & Body Works and smell this stuff!! Please? :)

Have a beautiful day! :)

March Favorites

So, I used this foundation over the summer, and I'm back with it! I really really like it! Let me know if you want me to do a review!

Yes, I am very very fair! So if I don't want to look dead, bronzer is kind of a must. At first I thought this would be too dark, but with a big fluffy brush it's perfect.

See my review here!

I love this fragrance right now! I got this for Christmas from my Mom because she knows how much I adore my original Chanel Chance (Favorite fragrance EVER) but I don't typically wear it in the Spring/Summer so this is a great replacement!

NARS Orgasm- This is another blush that I have been loving lately. I'm really into blushes with shimmer so I have a glowing look. This gives me a gorgeous peachy glow.

Please excuse the beat up tin! :) This has been riding around in my purse for quite a while, but I love this! It smells so good!

If you saw my Eye of the Week post, you would know that I'm using this a ton lately!

I adore this for my under-eye circles! It's awesome!

This and my Loreal Voluminous have been my saviors this month. I'm obsessed.
So.Delicious.

If you want me to do a detailed review of any of the products that I mentioned, just let me know in the comments! :)
I hope you guys had a wonderful March, & I'll talk to you soon!
Have a beautiful day! :)

What am I reading?

Hi guys!
I just wanted to do a super quick book related post on what books I'm currently reading!

Yup! Crossed! I feel like I really have a thing right now for books about dystopian societies. Cough THE HUNGER GAMES Cough... Who said that?
I don't know if this has clicked for you guys yet, but I completely get the covers now! I was on Amazon yesterday and I saw that you could already by the third book and freaked out a little bit... No big. But it's just a pre-order thing since it comes out in November of this year. But if you look at all three covers it totally makes sense! Well, at least I think it does. Here's my theory, the colors of the covers (green, blue & red) represent the colors of the pills that the society gives everyone in their tablet case. And the first book is green (calming) so it's... the least harmful (?) of the three. Then the second, is blue (nutrient  pill thing) and it's supposed to keep you alive if something was to ever happen to the society. So it's, sort of like, freedom. The third is red (erases your memory) so it's the strongest out of all of the pills, and it was rumored to, well... no one really knows because it's supposed to erase your recent memory so you wouldn't remember taking the pills, but Cassia knows! Anyways, that's the most lethal.
So that's the color portion of my theory. But I think the images on the covers represent Cassia breaking away from the society. Because if you look, on the first one it looks like she's trying to get out of the bubble thing, then the second one she actually broke through the bubble, and then on the third she's like getting out of the bubble. So yup. That's my theory! It's probably totally wrong!
So I'm currently 26% done and it's starting to get really good! Let me know if you guys have read this, and if you liked it.
I'm currently reading this for my English class in school, but I really really like it! It is so much better than The Scarlet Letter (the last book we read). Have you guys read Tom Saywer? My mom said she read it and liked it more than Huck Finn. Would it be worth reading for me?
Oh, French class... Yeah, I just finished this book over the weekend for my French class. I actually really liked it. But guys, I was convinced that Lili was actually a girl until my teacher corrected me like halfway through the book... Oops!

So those are all the books that I'm currently reading, once I'm done Crossed I'll be starting The Lost Symbol (my library lone expired last time </3). I can do a post on that when I'm done if you guys want! I also will be doing a post on Crossed as soon as I finish it.
What books are you reading right now? Any recommendations?
Have a beautiful day! :)

None of the pictures used are my own.
