Now I know that there is less than 20 days left of spring but I still wanted to get my spring essentials post up!

NYX Green Tea Blotting Paper - I can't believe how long it's taken me to try blotting sheets. Honestly, you would think that I live under a rock. I had an internship interview last month and I wanted to bring powder with me so that I wouldn't look too shiny, but I was worried about caking my makeup. The magical solution to my problems? Blotting sheets.

L'Oreal Color Riche Caresse Aqua Laquer - This is hands down one of my favorite long wearing lip colors. In the springtime what I really want in a lip color is something that is no fuss. I want to be able to slap it on and not worry about it for hours. This does just that.

L'Oreal Silky Sheer Face Lotion SPF 50+ - You might think of sunscreen as something you only use in the summer but really, you need it just as much in the spring. This is one of my favorite ones for my face. It's a super thin consistency and drys to a powdery finish so I don't feel like a greasy mess!

KMS California Hair Play - I feel so guilty for cheating on my Batiste... But this stuff is seriously amazing. I can spray this in my incredibly dark brown hair and I don't see anything. I mean literally not a spec of white powder. Not only is it an amazing dry shampoo but, it gives me a ton of volume!

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream - Come spring time I really just want a no fuss makeup routine. I'm all about products that I can slap on my face while I'm running out the door. I didn't expect much from this drugstore BB cream but I have seriously fallen in love. I will say that in the tube it looks pretty intense... Like oompa loompa intense. But, have no fear. Once you apply it the crazy orange look disappears. I have this in the lightest shade that they offer and I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be WAY too dark for me come winter time.

Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline - Oh. My. Goodness. This stuff is divine. Fragrance is incredibly personal but I think that this is one of those scents that you can't not love!

What products do you love in the springtime?

See you tomorrow!

If you've seen my Influenster Go Vox Box post then you already got a sneak peak of the product that I'll be reviewing today.

Alrighty, lets start off with the claims that this product makes -

"Supports reduction of body fat (as part of a healthy diet and exercise program)."

"Reduces hunger and cravings"

My take on their claims? While I can't comment on the reduction of body fat as I only had three to use, I can see how these could reduce cravings for some people. Specifically people who love cake batter because the French Vanilla flavor tasted like I was drinking vanilla cake batter! YUM!

This meal replacement shake comes in three flavors - Swiss Chocolate, French Vanilla and Fresh Berries. While they were all delicious I think that Swiss Chocolate and French Vanilla were my favorites because they had the least chemically aftertaste.

Nutritious and delicious? I'd say so! It's packed with 14 g of protein, 5g of dietary fiber and loads of vitamins and minerals.

The bottle advertised with this line is unique in the way that it blends together protein shakes. Most people stick with the typical Blender Bottle that has a ball that reminds me of a whisk. This has a giant jax. In a way, I find it really strange that, that is what is blending my drinks together. Sometimes I wonder if a child just accidentally stuck their toy in my bottle... But, odd or not, it works!

The directions say to mix one packet of powder with 8 oz of water (you can also use milk, almond milk or any liquid that your prefer!). I personally like to stick with between 10-12 oz of liquid. I think it helps to make sure that all of the powder is dissolved so I don't get any of the dreaded lumps..

Once you've got your liquid in there just dump one of the shake packets on top! You can always add the powder before your liquid but I prefer doing liquid first. Now, make sure the lid is on tight and shake it like crazy!

And look at that! I beautifully blended meal replacement shake!

I have two complaints with this product and the first being, the darn bottle. At first I thought I was just being dumb and I didn't know how to open it. But oh no. It wasn't me. I know that the bottle needs to have a really tight seal so that when your mixing the drink it doesn't go everywhere. But the pop top was stuck on there so hard that the first two times I used this bottle I spilled some of my drink all over my phone. Both freaking times. And I have to say that my brother has a Blender Bottle so naturally I tried his to see if every bottle of this sort was like this but nope. I opened his up just fine. If you've tried this and you've found a way to prevent spillage PLEASE share your wisdom with me!

My second complaint is that the shakes had a chemical after taste. It wasn't quite as noticeable with the Swiss Chocolate and the French Vanilla but the Fresh Berries was pretty bad..

Overall I really enjoyed using this product. If you are new to the world of protein/meal replacement shakes then you will love these. They don't have a gritty texture which is common in homemade shakes depending on which protein powder you use. Also, I found that these did really stick with me for a while. I used them as a post-workout and as a meal replacement. And both times I didn't find myself starving an hour or two later.

I would recommend these products for someone who is on the go and wants a simple meal replacement shake or something to drink post-workout.

Will I be purchasing more of these? Maybe, I did get a $5.00 off coupon so I might just have to swing in and pick up some more of the Swiss Chocolate.

See you tomorrow!
Haircare -

L'Oreal Advance Power Moisture Mask - I am one of those people that uses a hair mask basically every day in place of a traditional conditioner. My hair is extremely long and it was fairly damaged up until a few days ago when I got a much needed trim. This is one of the only products that makes my hair manageable right from when I step out of the shower. Plus, if you like hair products that have a scent that lingers, you need this!

It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin - Every single person with hair on their head needs to try this. For the longest time I thought that this was the most overpriced leave in conditioner. But then, I tried it. Do you want silk for hair? Yes? You need this. Nothing has ever made my hair softer, silkier or shinier.

Skincare -

Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment - An under eye cream is by no means necessary at 18 years old. However, I have incredibly dry skin so I find that when I don't use one, my under eye concealer just looks cakey no matter what other products I use. I think that I might have fairly sensitive eyes as some of the others that I've tried left my eyes puffy (as if I had been crying) when I woke up. This thankfully doesn't do that! I do think that this has been helping to brighten up my under eye and overall I just love it!

Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil for Dry Skin - The only other cleansing oil that I have ever tried is the Dermalogica Precleanse and my skin had a bit of a freakout after using it. Naturally, I assumed it was the new product that I had tried to incorporate into my routine and swore off oil cleansers for good. Well, I am one of those people who is always looking for the next best thing even if what I already have is fantastic. When I saw that Garnier was coming out with an oil cleanser I knew I had to try it. The price point of this is around $7.00 which isn't bad for a bottle this big. My only complaint is that it leaves a slight residue on your skin. This doesn't bother me too much because I have extremely dry skin and typically use my Clarisonic after removing my makeup with this. If you've always wanted to try an oil cleanser but didn't know where to start - check this one out!

it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in Fair - $38.00 for a CC Cream? I put off buying this for so long because I thought that there was no way that this could be worth the money. Man, I was wrong. It's amazing! This is my go to when I want my makeup to last all day with relatively natural coverage that won't look shiny. Seriously, everyone needs this.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - All month this has been my go to for the days when I don't have a lot going on. I use this a lot on days when I just need a little bit of coverage to run some errands and especially before I go to the gym if my skin is having an off day! I still really want to pick up the Dream Pure version that has salicylic acid in it for days that I am wearing this to the gym to prevent any post-workout breakouts. Unfortunately, my Walmart only has two of the shades.

Maybelline Baby Skin - I wouldn't say that this is a wonder cream... But it is hands down the best primer that I've found from the drugstore. I know that everyone says this is basically a dupe for Benefit's The Porefessional but I just don't see that. I think that this is more of a mixture between The Porefessional and Smashbox Photo Finish. Either way, I love the way my foundations/BB creams/CC creams apply over this.

Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer - I can't lie, that picture makes it look a little bit scary. I promise it really isn't that reddish in person! For at least three years I have been faithful to my Benefit Hoola and I haven't tried anything else but Sephora had a kit with this miniature bronzer and I knew that it was fate for me to try it. Seeing as I've basically only ever used my Hoola bronzer I wasn't sure how I felt about the shimmer in this. But honestly, I don't see it on my skin! I think this gives me a nice summery glow but I don't look like I just doused myself in craft glitter.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bold Gold - This I had purchased on a bit of a whim. I know that a lot of people love these but I just haven't been thrilled with the colors that I had purchased. I think that's on me though, the only other colors that I had picked up aren't really ones that I'd use on a regular basis. But, I have been loving this for an all over lid color lately! I use this and a light/medium matte brown shade to blend into my crease and that's basically it. To me, it's an incredibly simplified summertime smoky eye! ( Expect a post coming soon!)

NYX Butter Glosses in Creme Brûlée & Eclair - The praise for this gloss is 100% deserved. This is another product that I figured was just over hyped and that it probably wasn't that great. To be honest, I'm not much of a gloss wearer. Nothing that I owned (before these) every wowed me. Eclair is the most perfect nudey-pink shade for everyday. Honestly, I adore it. I think it even looks amazing when it wears down. Creme Brûlée is more of a peachy nude and probably a color that I would have shied away from a few months ago, but this is an amazing nude that won't make your lips look dead! Plus, even if the shades were hideous I feel like I'd still wear them because the consistency is to-die-for.

Skincare -

Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes - These weren't terrible.. But I can't say that I liked them. I know that they are meant to be exfoliating but I found that they were too rough on my skin and they didn't take off all of my makeup which was a huge disappointment.

Would I repurchase? No.

Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter - I'm not sure that this is the scent for everyone. I however, loved it! This was just a small size that I got from a hotel that I stayed at a while back. If your looking for a non-greasy body butter check this line out!

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Caudalie Body Lotion - This saved my legs! No matter what shaving cream I use, my legs always end up really dry and this is the only thing that fixed that! It sunk into my skin almost immediately and was not greasy at all!

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Proactiv+ Pore Targeting Treatment - There are no words for this product. My love for this just cannot be measured. A '3 month supply' lasted me 6 months!

Would I repurchase? Until the day that I die - yes!

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense (x2) - If you've ever watched one of my empties videos on Youtube you will know that this moisturizer is my saving grace. This is the most perfect moisturizer for my dry skin. When my skin was patchy and absolutely horrific this brought it back to normal!

Would I repurchase? Yes! I have a stock of like 10 waiting to be used.

Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion - I had this riding around in my purse for a really long time and I did like it. It smells really good but it can be greasy. I preferred this for my legs and arms rather than my hands.

Would I repurchase? No.

Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Cleansing Milk - This + my Clarisonic = perfection. I have tried other milk cleansers in the past and I've never been a fan because they leave a residue on my skin and don't take off all of my makeup. But this baby, is in a league of it's own. It takes off 100% of my makeup, is incredibly gentle, and leaves my face feeling moisturized!

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Estee Lauder Soft Clean - I have to say that this was incredibly fun to use with my Clarisonic. The lather I got was insane. However, I found that it was pretty drying on my skin and didn't think that it did much of anything for me.

Would I repurchase? No.

Haircare -

One N Only Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner - Honestly, I don't even know how many bottles of this I've gone through. It's moisturizing, it smells amazing, it works wonders on color treated hair. What more could a girl want?

Would I repurchase? Forever and ever - yes!

One N Only Argan Oil Restorative Mask - Again, I have no idea how many bottles of this wonder cream I've used up! When my hair feels dry and damaged and altogether just meh, this is the quick fix! I use this probably 3-4 times a week and it makes my hair shiny, soft, and it smells so good.

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Ojon Volume Advance Shampoo - While I did like this shampoo a lot (it smells fantastic) I don't think that I can justify the price point. It did give me lots of extra volume when I used it but I think I can find something just as good at half the price.

Would I repurchase? No.

Suave Moroccan Oil Mask - This is a great cheaper alternative to the One N Only mask. While I don't think that it works quite as well it does leave my hair very soft and shiny!

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Ojon Color Sustain Conditioner - This conditioner was very gentle on freshly colored hair, I didn't think that it did much of anything.

Would I repurchase? No.

Batiste Deep Dark Brown Dry Shampoo - Where has this been all my life? If you have brown hair you NEED this! Honestly, it has changed the way I feel about dry shampoo! I used to hate it because of the gross white/grey residue that would be left in my hair but this is so amazing! I can spray it directly on my part-line and you can't even tell! It's magic.

Would I repurchase? Yes!

Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo - If your looking for an inexpensive shampoo for color treated hair then look no further! It smells amazing and always left my hair really soft. I never found that it stripped my color! Personally, I will be sticking with my One N Only but if your new to the color treated shampoo game - give this one a go!

Would I repurchase? No.

Last week I got a very exciting package in the mail... can you guess what it was? My Influenster Go Vox Box!

Before I get in to what came in the box I just want to say that this box was sent to me for free for review purposes. However, I am not being compensated for this post and all opinions are 100% my own!

Aqua Spa Relax Collection ($9.99) - This stuff seriously smells incredible! I'm a big fan of lavender so I adore this scent.

The Vitamin Shoppe Next Step Shakes - I got three flavors of this, Swiss Chocolate, French Vanilla & Fresh Berries. So far I've tried the Swiss Chocolate and the French Vanilla. I'll have a full review of these up soon!

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons ($3.99-$4.99) - To be completely honest, I still don't understand the point of scented tampons... But hey! You can never have too many.

Pro Foot Pedi-Rock ($8.99) - Could the timing of this be any more perfect? I think not. I am in beyond desperate need of a pedicure so this bad boy might just be my only hope when it comes to saving my feet!

Pro Foot Triad Orthotic ($10.49) - I'm particularly excited to try this out because its 3/4 length so that it won't crowd your toes. And let's be honest, I have more shoes than I would like to admit that are just too uncomfortable to wear as much as I'd like! Hopefully these will help.

The Vitamin Shoppe Next Step Shaker Bottle - This is honestly the product that I was the most excited about receiving. I've been eyeing some Blender Bottles on Amazon the past couple of weeks and I was just about to buy one when this came in! I will have an in-depth post with my thoughts on this bottle very soon when I review the shakes.

Muller Yogurt Product - I believe that I've had Muller in the past and did really enjoy it. I obviously haven't used the coupon yet but I will be soon.

Blue Diamond Blueberry Flavored Almonds ($3.19) - I totally spaced and forgot to photograph these. I personally am I huge fan of almonds. I love plain and when I'm in the mood for something sweet the cinnamon & sugar ones are sooo good!

Before today I had never tried these but thought that they looked intriguing. In the past I've always been fairly happy with Sally Hansen's nail polishes so I figured it was time for me to test out some of the new ones!

I believe that this polish is marketed so that you don't have to use a topcoat with it, but I used my Sechevite anyway! I do have the Triple Shine top coat but I opted for a fast-drying one today as I was in a bit of a hurry. I have to say, my nails do look incredibly glossy and my camera isn't doing it justice at all. I'd say that they are somewhere in between a regular manicure and gels.

I used two coats of my Essie base coat and let that dry completely before moving on to color. The first coat applied pretty streaky but not as bad as I had been expecting. I only needed two coats in total for this manicure and I think it looks great!

I cannot comment at the moment on how long this polish lasts on the nails but I plan to test out a few more shades in the near future. So keep your eyes open for a review of the line!

See you tomorrow!
It's been quite some time hasn't it? I dare say almost a year. All I can say for myself is that I did not completely fall off of the face of the earth during that time! Throughout my 'leave of absence' I was still posting videos on my Youtube channel. Either way to speed up my explanation of sorts, I've actually really come to miss blogging so I decided to resurrect my blog, and what better way than to start it off with an Ulta haul?

I recently had accumulated quite a few points at Ulta and I was really itching to spend them and when I saw that NYX was buy one get one 50% I just couldn't say no... Also, I will be doing reviews and swatches for most if not all of these products so I'll try and keep this post short!

Eyes- I picked up the LORAC Pro palette which I have been lusting over for what feels like forever and honestly, I couldn't be happier that I finally got it! Ulta had a kit with the UDPP Original and the UDPP anti aging for $20 and I couldn't resist, it's been a while since I've had UDPP and I'm so happy it's back in my life! The NYX Chocolate brown liquid liner was a bit of an impulse purchase, I'm always searching for the next best liquid liner. The NYX Wonder Pencil was another impulse-ish purchase - I've heard lots of people rave about this one so I figured I'd give it a go.

Lips- As we can tell, I went a little bit crazy with the butter glosses. I got (L-R) Merengue, Maple Blondie, Tiramisu, Creme Brûlée, Eclair. I have no idea why it took me so long to get these, but I am obsessed. I also picked up the Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss and their Kiss of Olive Oil and Lemon - both of which I've heard great things about!

Everything Else - Both the Juice Beauty Peel and the mini Benefit Porefessional were gifts with purchase. I finally got the full size of my beloved Tarte Smooth Operator Finishing Powder. This stuff is ah-maz-ing. I've been searching everywhere for the new Maybelline Bleached Neons collection and I've yet to find it, but I did pick up Pink Embrace which I am loving right now!

So that's everything from my little-ish Ulta haul! I'm still searching for the Bleached Neons collection and the new Dream Pure BB Cream. Hopefully I will have posts about both of those very soon!

To force myself back into the habit of blogging again I am going to be (trying) to have a new post up 7 days a week. The likelihood that I will actually do this is slim but hey, I like a challenge!

Sorry I took a little bit of a hiatus during July, it was just a crazy month! But I think that I'm going to start making Youtube videos again. Now that I have my MacBook I can actually edit videos without my computer kicking me out of the program, so thats nice! Anyways, my first video is up so I'll leave it here if you want to take a look!

Have a beautiful day <3

I know this is a tad bit late, but better late than never right?! Sorry for Boo Radley photo bombing the swatch photo. The flash from my camera was freaking him out and he was trying to figure out where it was coming from. I had a total brain fart when I was trying to think of my favorite products for June. This happens every single month. All during the month I'm like, wow! this product is like the greatest thing I've ever used! and then when it comes time to grab these products, I CANT REMEMBER WHICH ONE IT WAS. I might be exaggerating a little bit, but it is so frustrating... Anyways, lets get into what I actually did remember.

Benefit Porefessional Primer - This stuff is really awesome! My mom calls it her "spackle primer" because it fills in her pores that are "the size of Texas". I was running low on primer this month and I don't like the way some of my foundations play with the Pixi primer (I'll talk about that in a minute). I personally don't have large pores so I can't backup my moms statement with personal experience, but I do enjoy the way this makes my foundation stay all day!

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation in 110- I LOVE the finish of this foundation! I feel like it's incredibly versatile! I've built it up to be a full coverage using a brush, but with my beauty blender or my fingers it is a light-medium with the most beautiful natural ( not "dewy") finish! This shade it too light for me right now, but I'm debating trying the new Covergirl whipped foundation or just purchasing this in a darker shade.

MAC Dame Blush - I love this for when I want a super natural look, it definitely adds color to my face but it doesn't look like I caked on my grandma's powder blush.

MAC Pearlglide Liner in Industrial - This is the most gorgeous liner ever for those lazy makeup days! It comes off as kind of a grey-ish blue, but I find that in certain lights it looks purple! My mom never believes that this is just one liner when I'm wearing it. It looks a little bit like an ombre liner with out any extra work!

NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray - I usually don't like my foundation to have a dewy finish but this doesn't give an overly dewy (wet looking ) look. I think it just helps to make my foundation look a little bit more natural, and that is always a good thing. It definitely helps my foundation stay put in the summer heat too, so I love this!

NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Pink - I haven't technically been using this as a liner... I like to put this under my brow bone and blend it in for a gorgeous highlight! It reminds me of the one that Lucy Hale often sports on Pretty Little Liars. Plus, it lasts all day, even if you get it wet!

MAC Something Special Cream Blush - This is forever going to be one of my favorite basic blushes! I love that it has no sparkle or shimmer in it. I personally hate when my cream blushes have that, I just think it looks weird on my skin. This blends in perfectly whether you use your fingers or a brush. This favorite certainly won't be going anywhere anytime soon!

NYX Photogenic HD Concealer in Porcelain - Concealers have always creased under my eyes no matter what I used with it. I've tried ones from Benefit, Cover FX, Revlon, Maybelline, and various other high end and drugstore brands. None of them last as well as this one. It blends beautifully under my eyes and doesn't crease. For covering problem areas on other parts of my skin it blends right in and you can't tell that I'm wearing concealer. I wish I had tried this sooner!

Pixi Face Prime - I really like this for when I use a powder foundation like the Smashbox Halo. It doesn't play well with all of my liquid foundations however. Some of them look streaky and awful when paired together. When used with the right foundation, this primer is awesome!

Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Volumizing Hairspray - I can't stand when I use a hairspray gets flaky and leaves white gunk in my hair. I usually just spray this lightly into my hair to help hold curls or to tame my flyaway's and it's perfect!

Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick in One Size Fits Pearl - Personally, I wish this didn't have the shimmer in it that it does, but I really like it for a simple moisturizing lip color. It's really light-weight and perfect for the summer time!

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Spot Treatment - Last month my skin was having a fit and decided to rebel against me no matter what I did. Once I started using this in conjunction with my Pink Grapefruit Acne Scrub it cleared right up.

That's all for my favorite products for June! What are you guys loving this summer? Do you have any recommendations for me!?

Hey guys!
Sorry I disappeared for a little while! I lost the charger for my camera and for a while I was determined to find it, but it seems to have vanished so I just ordered a new one and it came in last night so yay! It seems that Maybelline has been on point with their new releases lately so naturally I got sucked in. I literally went to 6 different stores last week looking for the gel stick foundation! So worth it. Let's get in to the goodies!

Maybelline The Mega Plush mascara (waterproof) - I was totally out of waterproof mascara a little while ago and CVS had one of their extrabucks deals going on so I had to get two!

Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Stick in 110 & 115 - I finally stumbled upon these last Thursday at Target. I practically ran up to the fully stocked display because its totally logical to think that someone could have scooped them all up before I reached it! I've only tried these out twice so far but I'll be putting up an in depth review soon.

Blum Naturals Cucumber Face Wipes- These smell amazing. If your not a cucumber scent fan, I'd steer clear, but I love them!

Maybelline Baby Lips-

Berry Bomb (Electro Collection)

Pink Wink

Pink Shock (Electro Collection)

Strike a Rose (Electro Collection)

Oh! Orange! (Electro Collection)

Dermstore Lipquench- This smells like the Very Berry Refresher from Starbucks (which I'm obsessed with) and it feels a bit sticky at first but I think it does a great job moisturizing my lips!

Beauty Blender Cleanser- I bought a Beauty Blender a few weeks ago and I now understand what all the hype is about. But naturally my mother had to be the voice of reason pointing out that it could be a breeding ground for bacteria. I was planning on just using a regular brush shampoo to clean it, and then after some research I found that the designated cleanser for it has antibacterial properties in it so I caved and paid $10 for a bottle of sponge cleaner...

A super tiny little exciting update! I ombre'd my hair today!! I had been toying with the idea for probably a year now and this morning I was incredibly bored and finally had the cojones to do it! I will be posting a before and after along with how I did it very soon!

Have a beautiful evening everyone! <3

Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16039955806389569756noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813110026031100411.post-19783189201649499632013-06-19T10:33:00.001-04:002014-05-27T19:05:04.405-04:00Ulta Haul!Hey guys!
I ordered some stuff from Ulta last week and it came in yesterday so I figured I would show you what I got! The real reason that I ordered was because I needed some new skincare products because my skin has been looking like straight butt lately and I am not ok with that! But NYX was buy one get one 50% off so.... I kind of had to get some stuff. Plus they had a NYX goody bag if you spent $35 so you best believe I got that! Anyways, lets start with non-makeup.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque- I have used this before and I remember liking it. It claims to help with acne and it's pretty cheap so I thought I'd give it a shot!

Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight & Fade Gel- According to the reviews on Ulta's website it doesn't really do much to help fade acne scars but that isn't really my main concern. I needed a new spot treatment and a lot of people liked this one. My skin tends to be pretty sensitive and dry so I might have to use this every other day, it has 2% salicylic acid. I'm now looking for one that had benzoyl peroxide in it, if you know of any good ones please let me know!

Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Volumizing Hairspray- I LOVE this hairspray! I got a travel size of it in one of my Ipsy bags a few months back and I sadly ran out of it. I really don't want to pay $20 for a big bottle of hairspray although I'm sure that I will eventually. This was on sale for $3.00 and it's travel size so it will be perfect for my trip to Canada this summer!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser- Let me just say, I am kind of irritated with Ulta. I wanted the scrub version of this face soap and the item I purchased said that it was the scrub but the picture was of the cream cleanser so I figured it was just a mistake and that they'd send me the right one. Nope. I'm going to double check the listing I bought it from because I think I've tried the cream cleanser before and it dried the heck out of my skin.

NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray- I'm really looking forward to testing this out. I love NYX products and I love setting sprays so I figured, why not?

L'Oreal Ever Style Beach Spray- I have naturally wavy/curly hair so I love any product that just gives it a little bit of a boost. I know Bumble & Bumble makes a really great beach spray but I just could never justify their prices so when I saw this for around $5 I knew I had to get this! There will definitely be a review coming soon.

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer- This is the moisturizer that I've been using since January and I absolutely love it! I'm running low on mine so I got this one for when I run out.

Samples- Ahava Extreme Day Cream, The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream, MOR Hand Cream

NYX Liquid Crystal Liner in Crystal Pink

NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Black

NYX Glam Liner Aqua Luxe in Glam Golden

NYX Glam Lipstick Aqua Luxe in Divine

NYX Glam Shadow in Beauty Blog

NYX Studio Liquid Liner in Extreme Pink

NYX GLam Lip Gloss Aqua Luxe in VIP

Hey everyone!
I figured since it's been a while we might as well catch up so I'm going to fill you in on the top 6 most important things that you missed!

I don't really have a picture for this one because it would be kind of gross. But in the end of September I had to have my appendix removed due to appendicitis. Its a good time. (All sarcasm intended)

2. Unfortunately this isn't a fun one. In January I lost my beautiful dog Jasmine to a heart attack. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her.

3. I took my senior class trip to Washington D.C., it was a lot of fun but I was in serious need of a nap at the end of the day. And lets just say, when I got home I had never been so happy to see my bed.

4. I somehow managed to make it through a full year of AP Physics along with a full course load of other difficult classes (thank you Jesus!).

5. SENIOR PROM! First off, I would just like to say that I looked like a mermaid. I tried to get them to do an under the sea theme, but no such luck. Either way, it was an amazing night and I was and still am, absolutely in love with my dress. ( by Gigi ) Oh, and can we just take a second to appreciate the man candy in this picture! It is Monday, so... #mancandymonday anyone?

6. I graduated!! WOOO! I know everyone says it, but it's so true. These past four years flew by. My senior year went by in a blur. I feel like if you blinked or stopped for just one second, you missed something important. The past four years have definitely been a roller coaster, but high school was great and I'm looking forward to college and being able to get on with my life!

Congratulations to everyone in the Class of 2013! I can't believe we finally made it! To anyone who's still in high school, don't wish it away. Come the week of graduation your going to wish you could have just one more class with that cute boy you never got to talk to. Everything that you might have hated is suddenly going to become something that you love and will deeply miss.

That's all for tonight guys! I should have a Hope's & Ulta haul coming for you guys really soon!

Let me know what I missed in your life while I was away!

Have a beautiful night.

So it's a pretty simple look but I really like the result! I hope your day is going well and we'll talk soon. <3Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16039955806389569756noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813110026031100411.post-277272420137470472013-02-08T20:44:00.000-05:002013-02-08T20:44:07.604-05:00Book Nerd?

Hello everyone!
So, yet again I have performed my usual disappearing act, I know... I'm sorry! Senior year is incredibly busy as it is and then add in work and trying to maintain a social life, it can get a little bit hectic.
Anyways, the point of this post is to talk about all of the books that I've been reading lately. Please note, this isn't even all of them! The books shown top to bottom are:

Dubliners by James Joyce

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling

Le Comte de Monte-Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld

Specials by Scott Westerfeld

Extras by Scott Westerfeld

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

Reached by Ally Condie

Ape House by Sara Gruen

I also have recently read Uglies by Scott Westerfeld, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

Obviously I'm still in the process of reading most of these books, but thankfully this snow storm gives me an excellent excuse to cuddle up with them! Over the next few days/weeks I will be posting my thoughts on hopefully all of these books. I currently am waiting to get my hands on some books that are more medical based, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lax, In The Country of Hearts, Strength In What Remains. Keep your eye out for those too! If you have any book recommendations for me please, let me know. I'm always looking for new material to read.

For those of you lucky readers that live in the areas affected by Nemo, stay warm and stay safe!

Hi everyone!

It's been two months again... I'm not quite sure how this always happens! But anyways, I'm going to try to be posting content regularly! I figured as my first post back I would do my 12 beauty favorite of 2012 so lets get into it!

1. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boy - As some of you may know, I purchased this over the summer while I was in Paris and I absolutely love it! Its the perfect color for when your lips need a little something but you don't want it to be obvious that your wearing a lipstick!

2.Benefit They're Real Mascara- I LOVE this mascara! It is absolutely amazing! I usually layer this everyday with my Maybelline Falsies. It gives great length and volume without any clumping!

3. NARS Pro Prime Eye Primer- This is hands down my favorite eye shadow base ever. I definitely think that it beats out Urban Decay Primer Potion. Don't get me wrong, I love UDPP too, but this.... Nothing holds a candle to it! If I want my eye shadow to stay in the exact same place, you know what primer I'm going to be using!

4. Clinique Gel Liner in Black Honey- I love using this on days when I don't have a lot of time to put towards my makeup. Just a little bit of this wakes up my face and brings out the green in my eyes.

5. Clinique Moisture Surge- So yes, this container is completely empty... But that is only because this product is so well loved! I adore this moisturizer! For me it's perfect for the summer and winter. To help combat my winter dryness I just put a little bit extra on my skin and leave it there so it can sink in!

6. Clinique Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover- This, is unreal. For the show that I did this past fall I had to wear a lot of glitter, and it wasn't just sprinkled all over my body. No,no. This glitter was packed on my eyes and my cheek bones and it was intense. This was the only makeup remover that got it off in one swipe! It was amazing! I've been totally hooked on this ever since. And another bonus, it doesn't leave your eye lids feeling greasy!

7. Acetone Polish Remover- So I know that for a lot of people this is a staple when it comes to the products they use in regards to their nails but I just discovered this in 2012! I had heard plenty about it from some of the nail blogs that I follow but I had never tried it. My mom originally bought it to remove her gel nails and I used it to take off my glitter polish and, wow. If your a nail polish girl, you know how much of a pain it is to take of glitter polish. This, makes it a breeze. I won't use it for regular polish because it's not super great for you but for gel nails and glitter this will be my choice!

8. Carols Daughter Macadamia Oil- Sorry about the kitty foot, Boo Radley decided that what I was doing was absolutely fascinating and he needed to investigate! So this oil is in a way, multi-purpose. It's a heat protectant and it gives your hair a beautiful shine and makes it super smooth and soft! I will either use this right when I get out of the shower on my wet hair or before I straighten it. And sometimes after I'm done either straightening or curling my hair I'll run a little bit of this through my hair just to make it even glossier!

9. Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation- This one obviously gets Boo Radley's stamp of approval! This foundation, for me, is the best one that I have ever used. While I know that the $38 price tag can seem a bit ridiculous, I think that it's worth it. Not only is this a large bottle, I've found that you don't need a ton of product to achieve an airbrushed flawless finish. This gives my skin the perfect look, it's not too heavy of a foundation so it doesn't look like I am wearing a mask but it isn't too sheer either.

10. Neutrogena Clairfying Shampoo- Neutrogena makes shampoo? What? Yeah. They do. And it's awesome! This is definitely not an everyday shampoo, but more like a once or twice a week kind of deal. Either way, if you have product build up and your hair just doesn't feel as clean, just use this! It does an amazing job of getting all of that gunk out of your hair.

11. Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche- As you can tell, this bottle has received quite a bit of love over the past year. To me, this is one of the most perfect light and fresh scents for the summer time or just anytime that you want to smell yummy!

12. Marc Jacobs Daisy- I honestly think that I wore this basically everyday in November and December... I liked this fragrance when I got it but i didn't love it. Now, I love it! It's one of those scents that just makes me happy every single time that I smell it!

Those are my top 12 favorite products for 2012, I can think of so many other products that I adored, but these are the best of the best! I hope all of you had a wonderful 2012 and I hope you have an even better 2013!!

Have a beautiful day! <3Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16039955806389569756noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813110026031100411.post-6844269977202493842012-10-30T18:48:00.000-04:002014-05-27T19:05:04.440-04:00Makeup Fit For A Fairy Queen?Hi guys! :)
So I had another day off from school. I figured since I probably wouldn't be going anywhere, today would be a good day to start trying out some options for show makeup seeing as opening night is in two weeks. That sounds like a lot of time, but it's not... So this is my first 'attempt' at a possible look for my show! Keep in mind, we're doing Midsummer/Jersey and I'm Titania, the fairy queen of the forest.
Use a concealer and setting powder as you normally would. Then highlight, contour and add blush.

For the eyes apply an eye primer and then wet a flat shader brush and dip it into the loose glitter. I recommend putting a piece of paper or something beneath your eye to keep the glitter from sticking to your foundation. Pat the glitter onto your eyes. Once you have an even amount of glitter on both of your eyes, apply the falsies. Then take a black liquid liner to hide the band of the falsies. Use a black pencil liner to emphasize your lower lash line. Apply mascara to blend the falsies with your natural lashes.

Yeah, that's a super cute face, I know :p. For lips if your going to go with a dark color, I suggest using a lip brush to initially apply it and then fill in and go over it with the actual lipstick.

If you decide to do a nude lip, you can just apply it the way you would normally apply any lipstick!

I think I personally prefer this look with the nude lip, but that's just me! For an actual performance I would probably choose more of a berry pink for the lips so that they don't drown under the lights! Also, next time I think I'm going to try this look but actually use eyeshadow, so do a real eye look and then put the glitter on over it! I'll definitely keep posting the looks as I try them out! Let me know if you guys have any requests or if you want me to do a basic stage makeup post. I've been doing this since I was 5 for dance recitals so it's super fun and I don't mind at all! :)

Have a beautiful day ya'll! :)

Hi guys! :)
Sorry that this post is kind of.... delayed? Senior year is just insane and I'm still trying to find a way to balance everything, but I figured that since I have tomorrow off from school thanks to hurricane Sandy, I'd do some posting!
This is an outfit I wore to school when I had some meeting's that I had to go to and needed to look a little bit more put together than I would on an average day!
So yes, that is me sitting on my bed. Thank you Boo Radley for photobombing basically all of the pictures that I took! I couldn't really take the pictures out side because the weather right now is... well, kind of gross? It happens every year, and I should be used to it by now. But I'm still not a fan!

So seeing as I haven't really been posting a lot lately, or really...at all. I haven't been doing my 'Music Monday' posts! So I figured that I would do one giant post with all of the songs that I've had on repeat lately. Beware, there may or may not be an overload of T-Swizzle. :)

What's your favorite song of the moment?

Have a beautiful day! :)Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16039955806389569756noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8813110026031100411.post-50056441798178553722012-10-09T17:28:00.002-04:002014-05-27T19:05:04.429-04:00Collective Haul!

Hello lovelies! :)

Today I have a bit of a picture heavy post for you guys! It's just a mishmash of some things that I've picked up from Ulta, Rite Aid, Target and various other stores. Ok! Let's get into the haulage.

Ok, so yes the packaging on these lip balms are adorable but, I really do love the formulation! They are by far my favorite, ever. So my Summer Fruit one was running a little bit low recently so I purchased the Strawberry Sorbet thinking I'd be good for another couple of months. Well little did I know I'd end up at Target 6 days later. I swear, I have been searching for the Alice in Wonderland collection everywhere and they only had 3 left at my target so yeah, you know I bought some! No shame.

This may seem like sort of a random purchase because honestly, how often am I going to wear glitter? But I have a reason! The show that I'm currently in is an adaptation of A Midsummer's Night Dream and I'm playing Titania. If you are familiar with that story, you would know she is the fairy queen. And what fairy queen doesn't wear glitter? I mean... seriously. But I've actually found a way to incorporate them into my everyday makeup routine! There will be a post on that soon. :)

More glitter? Yes. I really haven't been wearing much eye shadow lately so I like to spice up my eyeliner to make my look a bit more interesting!

Guys... I'm in love. This is my absolute favorite new mascara combination. Wow. Amazing.

I also ran out of my Revlon Photo Ready Primer and decided I wanted to venture out and try a different drugstore face primer this time. Now, I haven't been using this long enough to be able to get a sense if I really like it or not. But I'll let you know!

Aside from the creepy guy on the front, I love this!<3 I've been using the "Correct" and "Brighten" a lot lately. I did use the "Cover" for a little while right after I got this, but it's definitely too dark for my skin right now so I'll definitely be saving that one for next summer!

Don't judge me? Basically the whole reason I got this was for the really big, nice mirror. I needed a good handheld mirror for when I'm putting my eye makeup on! I obviously am going to use the powder too because my current powder is running a little low, but I really, really love this mirror... :)

I'm not exactly sure why, but I think that this product is discontinued :( I found this at the Christmas Tree Shop. It was only like $1.50 so that's a good thing, but I'm completely bummed that you can't buy this in regular stores. It's just a really pretty matte light peachy nude shade that I've been loving for highlighting my brow bone or for putting all over my lid when I want a brighter look!

Nothing like some good dark nail polishes to get you in the fall spirit! I got these at Rite Aid for $1.99 each. I have used Sinful Colors polishes before, but all of them were neons and I was kind of disappointed at how quickly they chipped. But, I know now that it was just because they were neons. I had Mesmerize on my nails when I had to get my appendix removed, a week later my manicure had barely chipped and that was without a top coat... What?!

I totally understand why everyone is obsessed with these Color Tattoo eye shadows now. They are amazing! I really love both of these colors, they look great with hazel eyes and they just are so fall-ish. I think they look great as an all over color or as a liner.

Ok guys!

That's everything that I've purchased recently makeup wise. I've got to say, I'm basically in love with every single one of those products. If you would like me to do individual reviews, just let me know!

Have a beautiful day<3

Hi I guess! I'm really really sorry that it's been so long since I've posted. I know that it's not really a good excuse, but my senior year has just been super crazy so far and obviously, school comes first! I also recently had my appendix removed so I was basically glued to my couch for about a week. But I'm finally returning to my normal life!
I will definitely try to get back into my normal posting schedule this week and I already have some really fun ideas that I've been dying to post about! Halloween tutorials anyone? :) Keep your eyes peeled for more posts and if you have any requests leave them in the comments! :)

Hi guys! :)
Today I have the first video/post in my back to school series!
What does Sarah carry in her school bag? Click the video, or read on to find out!

What Bag Do I Use?

Cole Haan Logan Reversible Tote!

What's In It?

My French book- Currently Le Petit Prince!

Any book that I'm reading for my English class.

My Agenda book- This baby has literally saved my life so many times.

French Dictionary- It's completely destroyed, but this is so helpful for my French class. I don't think I would have survived French 3&4 without it!

Dooney & Bourke Wristlet- I just keep my money, student ID, license, debit card etc. in here so I can easily take it with me if I don't want to carry my whole huge bag!

My Kindle- <3<3<3 I keep this just in case I finish a test or quiz early and don't have anything to do. Also, more often than not you'll find me reading in my study hall instead of doing homework.

Sunglasses- Obviously, this is not an essential item, but I like to have them for when I drive home from school. I don't want to get in a car crash just because it's sunny out!

Pencil Case- This one kind of explains itself, I just have all basic writing utensils in this bag. At the beginning of the year it's full. By the end, there's basically nothing in it.

MUFE Makeup Bag-

EOS Lip Balm

Chanel Lipstick in Boy

Bath & Body Works Wild Apple Daffodil Lotion

Purell Hand Sanitizer

Hair Elastic

Soft Lips Lip Balm

Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cherry

Goody Spin Pins

Bobby Pins

Hair Clip

TI 84 Plus Graphing Calculator- If your teacher doesn't recommend it, then you probably won't need it. But if they do, you definitely will. It's expensive but definitely worth the money.

Gum- Yup, Sarah likes sugary candy type items.

Keys- Pretty self explanatory, I need these so I can get to and from school and so I can actually get back into my house.

That's basically everything that I carry in my school bag!

Have a beautiful day!<3
